EN-RICH-MENT COMMUNITY DRUMLINE

DRUMLINE GALLERY

James Riles III, Composer and performer for the hit movies “Drumline” and also Drumline 2: A New Beat, presented a drumline workshop for the EN-RICH-MENT DRUMLINE on Thursday and Friday June 7, 8,  at the Arts in Stark Education Center.

Riles who also founded and is the Director of the Atlanta Drumline, is from Nicholls, GA and has been playing the drums since his parents bought him a set of drums at 5 years of age. He drummed his way through middle school & earned the position of the lead drum set player in the Coffee High School Jazz Band "Trojectory" while he was just a freshman. His God given talents landed him a scholarship at Morris Brown College where he composed a lot of their new aged Drumline material.

He used his gift to teach people of all ages how to play drums and life skills. His motto "Pray and Play" is one he holds onto dearly by letting everyone know that it's through Christ that he's able to teach the way that he does.

The Atlanta Drumline was recently featured on Steve Harvey’s Little Big Shots.
